Dr. Elizabeth Hutchinson, MD    Medical Director

Dr. Hutchinson received her MD from the University of Washington in 2004 and completed a residency in Family Medicine at Swedish First Hill in 2007.  After working for a year at a community health clinic in South Seattle, she joined the faculty at Swedish Family Medicine in 2008.

Her faculty appointment allows her to see her own patients in a busy family medicine clinic, practice obstetrics and inpatient medicine and also teach and supervise family medicine residents.  Her areas of curricular focus include women’s health, sports medicine and global health.  For the past 7 years she has provided compassionate and comprehensive care to patients with eating disorders as part of a multidisciplinary team.  Realizing there are few doctors in Seattle who provide specialized care for patients who have eating disorders, she feels passionate about teaching and mentoring family medicine residents to be excellent at this work.

She is very enthusiastic to partner with Opal as medical director.  She will continue to work closely with trained senior resident physicians to manage the medical conditions of patients seeking care at Opal.

When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons.
