Danielle is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate in the state of Washington (#MC61177253) with a Master of Arts in counseling psychology and a Master of Science in nutrition from Bastyr University. While learning about the conventional weight-centric approach of western medicine, she discovered the world of Intuitive Eating and has never looked back. From exploring her own path toward body trust, food freedom, and intuitive movement, Danielle seeks to accompany others in connecting with their own innate body wisdom, wherever they currently are on that journey. She also brings her experience as a massage therapist and ACSM certified exercise physiologist to her work to offer an integrative, holistic approach to healing mind and body.
Because Danielle believes each of us are the experts of our own lives, she sees her role as a support character in one of many rich chapters in her clients’ lives. Through her willingness to delve into the messiness of the human condition, Danielle seeks to help clients navigate the art of being human through connecting to their inner knowing and living in congruence with their identified values.
When she’s not at Opal, Danielle can often be found traipsing along one of the many trails the Pacific Northwest has to offer, whether from her bike or on foot with her dog, Rogue. She also enjoys gathering with friends over themed meals, doing jigsaw puzzles while contemplating the universe, and reading with her cat companions and a cup of tea from her overflowing tea cupboard.
Danielle has advanced training and interest in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, Internal Family Systems, somatic psychotherapy, trauma, HAES and Intuitive Eating.
