Jaime is (pending) a Registered Counselor Agency Affiliate in the State of Washington.

Jamie grew up in California before moving to Seattle to attend University of Washington, and has settled here since graduating in 2023, working as an Expeditor at a restaurant downtown. While attending UW, Jaime found a passion in Public Health and Nutrition, and crossed paths with her now mentor Dr. Cristen Harris who introduced her to the world of HAES, body inclusivity, weight neutrality and dismantling fat phobia in our healthcare system and society as a dietitian.

Jaime struggled with an eating disorder in her youth, eventually finding unbridled recovery and the invaluable feat of food and body freedom. Pairing with her passions of public health and food/nutrition, Jaime is now on a path to receive her Masters in Public Health Nutrition and RDN license to support others in achieving recovery and freedom from their eating disorders and body perspectives regardless of size, shape or identity.

Jaime’s professional interests include intuitive eating, mental health, culinary skills, depression/anxiety, digestive issues, diet recovery/chronic dieting, family/maternal health/nutrition, culturally significant/BIPOC nutrition and sports/exercise.

In her free time, Jaime loves cooking and baking, finding a love and connection in food, hiking with her standard Poodle Jasper, Latin style dancing, strength training for strong bones, reading of all genres, traveling and painting.

Jaime is incredibly excited to be getting hands-on experience in her intended field working at Opal, to work directly with a community she understands on a very personal level and to learn from the talented practitioners around her.
