Zanzi is licensed in Washington State (CAAR.CG.70178443, pending) as an Agency Affiliate Counselor.
Zanzi’s path to Opal has been shaped by her experiences with dance, movement, and embodiment. Born and raised in Seattle, she moved to southern California during her undergraduate years to study dance (B.A) and psychology (B.A.) at Chapman University. Through her experiences as a dancer and yoga teacher, she developed a deep interest in mindfulness, embodiment, and the ways our relationships with our bodies can shape how we experience ourselves and the world around us. These experiences ultimately led her toward a career in mental health and a desire to support others in developing more compassionate and connected relationships with themselves. Zanzi believes that healing involves reconnecting with ourselves, our relationships, our values, and the parts of life that bring us meaning and joy. She strives to create a therapeutic space where clients feel seen, respected, and supported without judgment.
Zanzi is a current graduate student in Seattle University’s Master of Arts in Couples and Family Therapy program. As a couples and family therapist-in-training, Zanzi understands people within the context of their relationships, families, communities, and broader systems. She approaches therapy with curiosity, humility, and collaboration, honoring each person as the expert in their own lived experience. Her professional interests include eating disorder recovery and prevention, body image, embodiment, anxiety, family and relationship dynamics, and supporting dancers, athletes, and others navigating high-pressure environments.
Outside of her time at Opal, Zanzi enjoys dancing, practicing yoga, spending time with friends and family, exploring the great outdoors with her dog, and reading a good book.
